Excellent, fast, and friendly service and a great variety of homemade Mexican dishes. Family operated restaurant that never fails to deliver a hearty meal with a smile. ???

Could classify this place as a hole-in-the wall eatery. They they have great food at really good prices, and the atmosphere is wholesome. A couple sit down tables. Worth the visit ??

The food was good. I would probably go back. Tables were clean but floor was not very clean. Really nice people! I loved the chorizo! They made yummy huevos rancheros for me although it was not on the menu. My spouse and I discussed getting it To Go next time.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars. This is the absolute best Hispanic food place I've ever been. The food is always delicious and the guy that runs it, Rudolfo, I think, is very friendly.
I highly recommend the papusas and the yellow cake. If you can get it, the best yellow cake is the one with the pineapple slices on top. It was so good that I bought 2 sheets of it for my wedding.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Do yourself a favor and go here. You won't regret it.

I eat tacos almost everyday and have tried just about every taco spot in Sacramento. This hidden gem has some of the best tacos I've had out here. The carne asada was crispy with flavor and the salsa complimented the meat perfect. The tortilla is probably the most important part and they tasted great as well. I will be back!

Family owned and the food reflects it. Great home cooked comfort Mexican food.

Best pupusas in the area! Stopped by passing through towards the Bay Area. We were the last customers.., we literally dined with the owners. The whole family helps. Sweetest family! Support their business.

The pupusas were packed and yummy.

Went to get a Rosca de Reyes and service was great. It was recently made and the aroma was fantastic. Can't wait to try the Rosca with my family tomorrow.

Food is excellent, very authentic! Tons of choices and a whole case of beautiful pastries! Papusas were excellent as were the tamales! Cant wait to come back! Great service too!

Five stars because it's exactly what a hole-in-wall El Salvadorean place should be. Not fancy not pricey. Pupusas are as good as I've had. Everything made from scratch and takes time. Got 5 different types of pupusas tacos drinks and bread for $26. I plan on coming here more now that I've found it.

The best food is almost always found in not so sparkly looking places. So stop complaining if you thought there were bugs. There are bugs everywhere. Deal with it or go to one of the flavorless Hispanic restaurants that cater to white people but have nice decor. This one is the real deal.

Good place to eat or take out. Not fancy, but inexpensive, with a wide range of very good Central American and Mexican dishes. Also have groceries. People are friendly.

This is some of the BEST, the freshest mexican food in Rancho. This womans green sauce is what got me through my pregnancy. I recommend everyone try it here. You'll be back!

Our pupusas, tamales and platanos fritos were yummy! There weren't a lot of beans with the platanos -maybe a half cup which is perfect for me - but they were good and not overly salty. None of our food tasted too salty.

The seating area had about 5 tables, maybe a few more, and was very clean! I love hole-in-the-wall restaurants and am willing to put up with some grime, but this place is very clean. We ate there about 2pm so they'd need open 6 hours or so.

They also have orejas, my favorite pastry! An added bonus is handmade-looking tamarind candy. Score!

My food was so good I ordered posole to go!

So delicious! I'm ate carne Asada fries and popusas :) loved it first time we came! food was beyond what we expected I am from San Diego and could not find a decent Latin food location and boom here we are great good. Many reviews complain it's to salty honestly I didn't even notice. Also the store is more of a salvadorian and guatemalen feel. So food is going to be different but if you are open to a change and twist in the food you will love it.

I had the Tripa, Vuche, and Chorizo tacos. They were delicious! Also, got some bread on the way out.

I had a craving for some comfort food, and trying places that are small holes in the wall is my go-to. This place did not disappoint. Food was delicious.

I love authentic Mexican food and this hit the mark. My husband and I both loved our food and were out the door for lunch right at $15. I had a chicken super burrito and from the first bite was in love! Very flavorful and huge! Hubby got a steak super taco and was very impressed. I tend to stay away from beef items because I find that some places use a lower grade that isn't tender and is fatty, etc. I tried his taco and it was great! He also ordered a pupusa. He liked it, I wasn't as impressed. Small place, fairly warm in there. Had a full pastry cabinet that I'd like to try as well. Moderately clean. Overall, great food at reasonable prices.

This place saved my Dia de Reyes celebration, the bread is delicious and if u are looking for a rosca de Reyes they still have them.

The best pork and chicken tamales in the Sacramento area. Incredibly moist with the perfect meat to masa ratio. $15 for a dozen is a bargain, give them a try next time you are in the area. Don't let the strip mall deal deter you for coming in. Great pastries too!

This place is crazy good. Cheap and fast Mexican and Salvadorian food.

The owners really care about what they make and sell. Great Mexican sweet bread for sale too.

Market in the back of the store

Been here several times. It's a definite hole-in-the wall but pretty good for the Rancho Cordova area which is kind of barren as far as good restaurants. I'm giving them a 5 based on their location, food, service, and my overall experience. Remember you are in Rancho Cordova not some place with a multitude of choices like SF or downtown Sac.

There is a store in the back selling various grocery items, in particular Hispanic meats, seafood, chicken, etc.

They seem to prep all their meats from what they have in the store. I observed them cooking a lot of Carnita meat in a big ole pot and were taking the meat out of the pot at the time. Man those chunks of pork looked yummy! Had to have been 10-20 pounds of meat.

Like all restaurant's some of the food i've eaten was so so, most of what I tried was really good. The Chicken mole was ho-hum to me, Carnitas very good, the Steak and Shrimp combo looked outstanding. The prawns were much larger and better prepared than what you usually see in a place like this, steak tender, seasoned and juicy. Breakfast burritos were great too. Huarache was decent.

They seem to do a brisk business with the Mexican Pastries that are baked on-premises. Place smells great during bake times.

The owner is proud of his food and is a very nice person in my experience. My only complaint is the lack of a salsa bar.

If you've read this far, like Hispanic food, and are in the area, go check it out.

One thing, I don't recommend ordering "nachos" at any Hispanic place. If you do expect liquid cheese which I am not a fan of. I see people complain on Yelp about various places using liquid cheese in nachos, but what else do you expect? If regular cheese is used, when it cools your nachos will be one solid mass. If you want nachos, make them at home the way you like them (Nacho mini-rant ends here).
